♥ Laura ♥

Since not everyone knows my best friends, bridesmaids, and personal attendants the way I do, I am going to share some info about each of them with you so you have a clue who these crazy girls are when you see them.

Laura Dallefeld, one of my bridesmaids, is one of the first people I met at Iowa State after I transfered from Minnesota. I met her in the ISUCF'V'MBBFFKKYTBSPACKTHEJACK. I mean marching band. We had some pretty great times as part of that organization, especially the Bowl, checking for winter gear i.e. neck muffs at games, and scheming to get Dan 'Hunch' McCarney to date one of our friends. She helped me through Math 150...oh wait, that was her math partner from two years before who helped me. She has helped me eat several cookie monsters from Wallaby's though, quite possibly our favorite hang out. :]

-Because eating a huge chunk of ice from a cooler that 300 band kids stuck their hands in is actually okay when you are wearing 100% polyester in August-

Laura's parents live in Worthington, so she has spent some quality time on HW20 like I have. She graduated from Western Dubuque, and if only she would have played tennis in high school, I could have met her sooner! She graduated from Iowa State in December 2006 with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and became a grown up by getting a job soon after at Lutheran Services of Iowa-Beloit in Ames. She is currently a Lead Youth Specialist there and works with the troubled youth of Iowa so that they can come back to me in the public school system, yippee! ;) Honestly though, she has a difficult job and an incredibly important one. She gets a lot of bruises and hugs--and deserves a giant raise. I can't think of anyone better to have working with those kids--she'll show them what's what, but she's an excellent mentor for anyone.

-Typical lunch date-

Laura is one of the first friends I had at Iowa State, and still one of my best. I can't help but spill my guts to her, so she usually has a one-up on my fascinating life.

This direct quote from Laura pretty much sums up how we are two peas in a pod:

-So not even close to what she's actually wearing in the wedding, but she makes this dress look good!-

And I promise, even though she has been looking a little anorexic lately, she actually does eat. :D I love her!
