We adopted a puppy! Lilly (kind of an oxymoron of a name since her coat is completely black) is a four-month-old labradoodle. She and her siblings were born in a barn to the mommy--black labrador and daddy--standard poodle. The owners decided to give the pups to the rescue in Clive, so we went and picked up Lilly there. She's the sweetest, smartest puppy who loves mud puddles and cuddling--usually in that order, unfortunately! Right now at four months Lilly weighs 35 pounds and labradoodle females average between 45 and 60 pounds, so we'll see how much bigger she gets! She seems to like about everyone and gets along with other dogs as long as they don't get up in her business too much right away. For example, she snapped at my parents' dog Cooter once when he was bugging her, then they ran around and played happily. She also snapped at Alexa's dog Thor when he was sniffing at her, but then she fell asleep right next to him.
