Patriots

We had a great 4th relaxing back at home with our families.  Can't beat our parents' houses.....one on a golf course and one out in the country, both with lots of space to hang out and play--and golf carts and Gators to ride!  Plus my aunt's 4th of July picnic on the river....and the weather was perfect!  Pretty unusual for 4th of July around here because it always seems to be raining on the 4th.  We were not ready to come home yet!

We didn't make it to the parade this year....maybe next year when Mace will be more into it.  He was just so happy to be outside all the time and running around and doing whatever he wanted because we are parents of the year and let him (and yes there was a tiny bit of a scraped knee because of that parenting, but Mace just hops back up and is off again).
Of course another holiday and another trip home reminds us that Rob's mom never got to meet the very best person in the family.  We stopped at the cemetery before we left town and hoped Mace's presence was felt.
